What this actually is

Not advice about a CRM. The CRM, already built.

Most people selling JobNimbus help sell you their opinion. This is different: it's a working account — statuses, fields, boards, forms and automations — taken out of a roofing company that runs on it every day, and written down step by step so your admin can rebuild it exactly.

Then five more manuals hand each department their half of it. Not theory about workflow. The actual daily checklist, the actual form to open when a task lands, the actual status to move a job to when you're done with it.

Some of what that structure buys you is unglamorous and worth real money. Work orders run on their own statuses, one workflow per trade — so when a sub finishes there is a record of what was completed, on which job, by which crew. Your subs get paid against that record instead of against somebody’s memory of a phone call. Overpayments, double payments, and the argument three weeks later all come from not having it.

The whole thing is written for someone who has never configured anything. Every name is spelled out exactly as it must be typed, because in JobNimbus a status name is wiring — rename one and the automations pointing at it quietly stop firing, with no error anywhere on screen.

What the discipline looks like

Documented, not remembered

These went out to crews before the job started. Not a handbook nobody opens — a picture of the actual house with the actual instruction on it. That habit is what the kit encodes: the expectation written down where the work happens, so nobody has to guess and nobody has to be told twice.

Job photo annotated: protect gutter runs
Protect the gutter runs — marked on the actual house, sent before the crew arrived.
Street view annotated: place OSB on grass
Where to stage material, so the lawn doesn't pay for the roof.

What buyers ask

Three questions, answered straight

How long does it take to build?

One person, one working day, following the Setup Manual start to finish without skipping ahead. Most of that day is typing names exactly as written — 32 statuses, 26 forms, 106 automations. It isn't hard. It's just not something you can do in twenty-minute gaps between calls.

Then Step 17 has you run seven checks and push one real job all the way through before anyone else touches the account. Budget an hour for that, and don't skip it.

Training is separate: about an hour per department, using their manual as the agenda. Five sessions, spread across a week.

Is anyone actually running this?

Yes — that's where it came from. This isn't a system designed in theory and written up afterwards. It was pulled out of a live roofing company's JobNimbus account, status by status and automation by automation, because the company was already running on it every day.

Before that, it's what we ran at All-Side Roofing & Restoration — first roof in 2022, multiple seven figures by 2024, sold that year. The company still operates on it without me.

What you're buying is a working configuration, documented. Not a best-practice guide.

An All-Side rep with a customer

Don't take my word for it — read the Google reviews from the homeowners who had the work done.

Does it include estimate templates, or show me how to build estimates?

No — and that's deliberate. This is the operating structure: how a job moves through your company, who owns it at each step, and what has to be true before it moves on.

Estimating is a different discipline. Your pricing, your margins, your product selections, your market, your labour. Those are decisions only your company can make, and a template loaded with somebody else's numbers is worth less than nothing — it's how contractors end up quoting a business they don't run.

What the kit does cover is the structure around estimating: where the estimate sits in the workflow, which status a signed estimate moves the job to, what has to be attached to the file before production will schedule it, and who is accountable when it stalls. The scaffolding, not the number.

And everything in the kit is yours to change. The forms and checklists come as editable Word files precisely so you can shape them to how your company works — your photo sequence, your approval items, your terminology. Use ours as the starting point and cut what doesn't apply.

What else can you do to help?

Plenty — but start here. Most companies don't need us to build it. If you've got someone who can handle basic automations, leaders who'll hold people accountable, and the willingness to follow a defined process, the manuals are enough.

When they're not enough, there are two steps up, and they're on the next page.

Why this exists

I built it. I grew it. Then I sold it.

In 2022 we put the first roof on for All-Side Roofing & Restoration. Over the next two years we grew it into a multiple seven-figure roofing business. In 2024, I sold it.

The part of that story I'm most proud of isn't the revenue. It's that the company kept operating without me.

I didn't build All-Side around myself. I built processes, accountability, workflows, automations and an operating structure that let other people know what needed to happen next. JobNimbus became the foundation we built that system on.

But here's what I learned.

The CRM was never the system by itself.

You can buy JobNimbus tomorrow. Create a bunch of statuses. Add automations, boards, tasks and integrations. And still have a completely dysfunctional roofing company.

Because software doesn't create accountability. It doesn't teach your production manager what they're responsible for. It doesn't create a clean handoff from sales to production. It doesn't make your team follow the process. And it doesn't teach an owner how the pieces of the business are supposed to work together.

That's what I had to figure out

As I built All-Side, I worked with software companies, marketing companies, vendors, consultants and a lot of genuinely smart people. They knew their products. They knew marketing, automation, technology.

But I kept seeing the same gap: they didn't actually operate inside the roofing company. They didn't understand what happens…

  • Between the signed contract and production
  • Between production and collections
  • When somebody changes a status incorrectly
  • When an automation quietly stops working
  • When a salesperson doesn't complete the information production needs
  • When everyone assumes somebody else is responsible

The technology might have been right. The implementation was wrong.

The real opportunity wasn't another piece of software. Roofing companies needed somebody who understood how to connect the software to the way a roofing company actually operates.

So I built it from the contractor's side

We built JobNimbus around the actual movement of a roofing job.

Statuseshad meaning
Boardshad a purpose
Automationssupported the process
Taskscreated accountability
Roleshad ownership

Sales, production, administration, collections and management stopped operating as separate islands. The CRM became the central nervous system connecting them.

Eventually I wasn't required to be involved in every decision or every job to keep the company moving. That's what created the ability for me to exit.

#TheAllsideWay

The All-Side team in a training session

A Monday morning at All-Side. This is the meeting that keeps happening whether or not the owner is in the room.

All-Side sold in 2024, and the way we ran it didn't disappear when I left. The company is still operating. Still growing. The systems, the customer experience and the processes we built continue without me in the day-to-day.

That's what a business is supposed to do.

Why I sold

Selling wasn't about getting away from roofing. It was about solving a bigger problem inside roofing. I could help far more contractors by taking what I'd learned building an actual roofing company and teaching other owners how to implement it.

Not another CRM. Not another automation. Not another marketing funnel. Actually showing them how the pieces fit together.

This isn't theory about how I think a roofing company should operate. It's the framework that came from building one, growing it to multiple seven figures, systemizing it, and creating a company I was able to exit.

The CRM is where it starts. The process behind it is what makes it work.

Fit

Not every company needs us to build it for them

Some do. If you'd rather hand it over, that's a different conversation and a different number. But plenty of companies can do this themselves.

What it assumes you have: a team. This is an operating structure, and a structure needs people in it. The kit assumes five functions exist in your company and somebody owns each one — sales, production, accounting, marketing, and management.

That is not five separate hires. In a smaller company one person often carries three of them, and the manuals still work — they just get read by the same person twice. What doesn't work is a function nobody owns. A status with no owner is exactly where jobs go quiet, and no document can fix that for you.

Put differently: the kit tells your team what to do. It can't tell you who they are.

Build it yourself if

  • You have someone capable of handling basic automations and integrations
  • You have leaders capable of holding people accountable
  • You're willing to actually follow a defined process
  • You're on JobNimbus, moving to it, or starting from an empty account
  • Your team knows the job but nothing is written down, so every new hire learns by shadowing

Don't buy this if

  • Nobody on your team will own the build. A manual on a hard drive changes nothing
  • You want it done for you — that's the $15,000 engagement, not this
  • You're a one-man operation. The handoffs are the whole point, and you have none
  • You're on a different CRM and staying there. The thinking transfers; the click-by-click doesn't
  • You want to resell it or use it with your own clients. The licence covers one company, internally

If you want more than the manuals

Three ways we work with roofing companies

Before you ask

Questions

Do I need a JobNimbus account already?

No, but you need one to use it. Works whether you're already on JobNimbus, switching to it, or starting from an empty account.

Can I change things?

Yes — that's why you get the Word files. One caution the manual repeats: names are wiring. Rename a status and the automations watching it stop firing silently, so change names deliberately and update both places.

Can I use it for my clients, or across several companies?

No. The licence covers one company's internal use. Consultants and anyone wanting to deliver this for others should talk to us instead.

Are estimate templates included?

No. This is the operating structure, not your pricing. The kit covers where estimates sit in the workflow and what has to be attached before a job gets scheduled — not what to charge.

Is this a course?

No. There's nothing to log into and no videos to get through. Six documents you read, follow, and hand to your team.

What's the Syndicate?
